Proposal For Pop-Up Art Space

This is a proposal for a hallway through a previously disused building to hide all the nasty paintwork and exposed electrics in the reception hallway. Tasty OMB board everywhere x

Rise are back...

Hi The Rise Blog is now back up and running! We have been off teaching and doing other summery things but we're now back and about to undertake a very cool interior job, images of which will begin to appear over the coming weeks/months.

Here is a ring Jonathan made recently - it features moon surface details from the Apollo landing site. Pretty geeky!!

The Crowbar at Riot HQ

We are currently working on The Crowbar for the guys at Riot a bunch of very clever chaps who develop apps, websites etc. It includes swinging saloon doors with metal inlay, a bar/meeting table and a gambling club style low light shade. The bar itself is a rugged welded steel frame with crisp birch-faced ply that has been CNC cut to include apertures for laptop cables and bottles of rum (Sailor Jerry their particular favourite), the company's fist logo and a banner text which reads "Rum and Code". The bar has a void running all the way along its length and five foot long red flouro tubes inside which spill light across the walls of the room and aluminate the cut details and the glass bottles. The brief was to design a space which encompassed the clients many aesthetic obsessions including lasers/neons, speakeasy clubs from the 30's and rugged industrialism.
