BIRDBOX BLACKBOARD

We were asked to collaborate on a public art project to which local residents are invited to respond. The hoarding surrounding a vast building site will be turned into a giant blackboard. Four birdboxes are mounted onto brightly couloured, stenciled circles with the silohouettes of tree branches. Chalks are housed within the birdboxes which have a hole large enough to accomodate a human hand - the public are free to use the chalk to draw or write on the hoarding as a means of encouraging a candid response to the stimulus.
